Albatross GK

Albatross GK On Hisingen in Gothenburg, within easy reach of the rich cultural and entertainment life of the city is Albatross GK, a complete facility for all categories of golfers. We offer challenging courses for beginners, as well as for the experienced golfer. In a hilly, undulating park landscape there are 27 holes, divided into two courses. The18-hole courses have been completed since 1975, two years after the club's formation; the initiator and founder was Jan-Ove Johansson with Lars Andréasson as assistant and course designer. In 2001 the facility expanded to 27 holes and we now have a separate nine-hole course, designed by Tommy Nordström. In addition to the two full-length courses, we also have what many consider to be Sweden's best short –hole course. We call it Eaglekorten (the Eagle Card), a delicious par 3 course where the holes range between 90 and 170 metres. With real grass tees and greens, it is beautifully situated in the woods with holes separated from each other. The course is used a lot by our members as a training course, but most of all there are many green fee guests who play it. With no requirement for a handicap it’s open to all, perfect as an introduction to golf and board games with friends.
