Åtvidabergs GK

Åtvidaberg’s Golf Club was founded by Baron Eric Adelswärd and he built the course that was opened in1957. The course is a parkland course situated amidst the beautiful oak forest on Bysjön. The original course was designed by Douglas Brasier. The current course was introduced the season of the year 2000. The designer was Peter Nordvall. The course consists of 18 holes with par 71. The length of the course from the yellow tee is 5,565 metres and 4,707 metres from the red. The club house restaurant is located just 100 metres from the 18th green with a view of Bysjön and the 11th hole (Långa Sjö), which for years has been voted as one of the best golf holes in Sweden. The office and shop are right next to the first tee. Directions: The nearest town is Linkoping 35 kilometres away, . E4 from the north, exit after Norsholm / Gotakanal bridge, follow sign Linghem, continue through Linghem to Route35 at Vårdsberg, signposted Åtvidaberg. E4 from the south, take the exit towards Vätervik outside of Linköping, Follow Route 35 towards Västervik. From the thoroughfare at Shell – roundabout in Åtvidaberg, follow the sign to Bjärka - Säby with the symbol for golf player, then follow the golf player symbol. The course is located only 2 kilometres from the centre.
