Ängelholms GK

Ängelholm Golf Club - an experience! In the hospitable corner of Sweden, Ängelholm is a central location, both through its location in area’s centre and as the traffic point for roads, rail and air routes, not least when it comes to golf play. No fewer than 17 golf clubs are within a radius of 3o kilometres! Ängelholm Golf Club was founded 28 May, 1973 by some golf enthusiasts with Hasse Peterson at the head. Hasse was also the club's first chairman (1973-1985). The first years were spent trying to find suitable land to build on. It was not easy at that time as most was classified as good arable land. In 1980 the construction of the course began at the place where the track is now located. The land was rented at first, but was later bought. Something that has proven to be good, because now the club can now make the improvements that they want. Ten years after the club's formation, 28 May 1983, the first golf drive was hit on the new course. The official inauguration took place 11 August 11, 1984 by Prince Bertil. That course designer Jan Sederholm managed to create a very nice golf course was very clear at an early stage. Directions: From the hotel: Take the E6 north to exit 35, turn right at the roundabout and drive towards Munka Ljungby. In Munka Ljungby, turn left towards Örkelljunga, sign with arrow on the right.
