There is a cart ban on the course and you understand this once you take yourself up to the first tee. The mountain world unfolds before your eyes. Torneträsk and Lapporten are the big recognizable landmarks. Above you, you have a varied 9-hole course with 18 tees. From short, tricky holes to long, winding fairways with large height differences and undulating greens. Despite the high altitude and northern location, the course is emerald green and the greens nice and compact. Halfway out on the course you will find a Lapp hut, where during competitions refreshments are served. You can leave your driver at home (if you hit wrong), because here the same rules that probably governed the original golf in Scotland. Position the ball! Do not go off the fairway, because there dwarf birch is waiting, heather and other low-alpine plants. You can also leave your sand wedge at home because the course is spared from the bunkers. They don’t remain during the melting away of the snow. However, you can bring a snow wedge if you play early in the season. Below hole seven’s tee the snow can remain until August.
