Pecanwood GC

Award-winning Pecanwood Golf Course is one of South Africa's most attractive courses and is situated along the largest pool of water in the North West Province. Groves of young pecan trees and extensive views of the Hartbeespoort dam and of Magaliesberg's majestic range makes this a special course to play. Pecanwood is an open parkland course with gentle undulating, generous fairways and sparing with rough. This helps you to be able to aim at attaining a low score, but the course is not however easily played considering the many bunkers and sloping greens. The water hazards are limited but watch out for holes 14 and 15 that sweep around a little lake. The picturesque par 3, seventeenth hole overlooks the Hartbeespoort dam and well placed bunkers lie along the narrow, long greens. The eighteenth hole, a par 4, is the course's longest and has bunkers around the entire green. Hole 13, a par 3, is Pecanwood's signature hole that requires a well placed shot over a corner of the Hartbeespoort dam where large bunkers lie on both sides of the green.
